CV check for students at the University of Mannheim - Successful applications in the age of AI
On 08 October between 10:30 and 13:30 alumni and career experts, including myself, are offering a free CV check for students at the University of Mannheim in the Fuchs-Petrolubsaal. In today's application process, the optimisation of CVs plays a more decisive role than ever before. More and more applications are being screened and pre-selected by AI systems in the first step. It is therefore essential to know what is important in order to overcome this first hurdle.
A professional CV, in addition to profiles on LinkedIn and other electronic platforms, is the first business card and often decides whether you are invited for an interview. A CV check helps you to identify and eliminate weaknesses in your CV. Is the structure clear and concise? Is the most important information highlighted for people and machines? Is the formatting correct? Does the CV match the desired position and does it take into account the requirements of AI-based selection systems? All these questions can be answered as part of the CV check.
AI-supported tools can help with optimising formulations and identifying keywords, but human expertise is no substitute for a personal CV check. Together with other alumni of the University of Mannheim and members of Absolventum, I offer students individual feedback and specific tips for their respective application situation.
Students should take the opportunity on 8 October to have their application documents checked by experts. Gain a decisive advantage in the application process and successfully launch your career - in the age of AI!
